KX-HS-01 Neutral Inhibitor

I. Corrosion Mechanism of the Oil Refining Device
   H2S of the raw oil and H2S generated out of the organic sulfide’s decomposition together with the corrosive substances (such as HCl, CO2 and NH3) generated during the processing of crude oil cause the corrosion to the equipment jointly.
   Oil refining plant’s corrosion parts mainly include often pressure-relief device’s fractionating tower and volatile line system, catalytic device’s fractionation tower system, coking plant’s fractionating column overhead volatile line system and subsequent condensation system, hydrogenation unit’s fractionating tower volatile line system and stripping tower’s overhead condensing system. Corrosion types include two kinds of corrosion system, and they are H2S-HCl-NH3-H2O type and H2S-CO2-H2O type, the reaction equation is Fe+H2S→FeS+H2. The ferrous sulfide film is destroyed due to the presence of chloride and the cycle corrosion is formed, especially in the low temperature parts of the device (especially the parts where vapor phase changes) serious corrosion will be caused with the reaction equation is Fe+2HCl→FeCl2+H2, FeS+2HCl→FeCl2+H2S. The above-mentioned is the main root of the low temperature refining unit’s corrosion.

II. Brief Introduction of Product
   Neutral Inhibitor is composed of organic neutralizing agent, organic corrosion inhibitors and the corresponding coordination agent; this product’s primary effect is that it can neutralize the acidic substances of the condensate to reduce the acid corrosion effect, in addition the special functional groups contained in this agent and multiple film base atomic electron pair can form a stable multilayer structure with the upper layer of the medium to form a dense isolation cover on the corrosion medium’s surface layer to hinder the transfer of the charge or material related to the corrosion reaction. At the same time, the corresponding cooperative agent can guarantee the product has good solubility in water.

III. Product Performance
   Neutral Inhibitor adopts a function mechanism mainly engaged in corrosion inhibition while assistant with neutralization according to different refining units’ characteristics as well as the corresponding corrosion system, and has formed a Neutral Inhibitor with broad spectrum function. Besides the function of corrosion inhibition, this product also has the double effect both in neutralization and anti-corrosion. The product has the characteristics including high rate of corrosion inhibition, small dosage, good water solubility and other advantages; it is non-toxic, has a slight irritant smell, and can effectively prevent the scale and dew point corrosion.

V. Instructions
   Inject the concentrate after diluted by water (following the dilution ratio according to actual situation of the device) into the anticorrosive parts; generally, the selected location is the position where the vapor phase changed. Generally the recommend injection is 10 x 10-6 ~ 100 x 10-6 (relative to the raw material throughput), and adjust the normal injection amount based on the analysis results of iron ion. The initial film-forming period is ten days with the injection rate of 100 PPM.

VI. Package and Storage
   Pack the product in plastic drum with the weight of 200 kg/barrel, or pack according to user needs. Store it in dry and ventilated place; during transportation, high temperature and exposure should be prevented.
